Dinan Exhaust Installed
This is a clip I got from a friend (not a forum member). He likes it (which is why he bought it I would guess). I will see/hear it in person next week.

It's hard to tell much with no load. My AA Signature is entirely different under load vs. free revving. It does sound like the Dinan will be quiet inside. It looks pretty good, if you like black.

black is good, but looks weird cause only tips are black. Sounds like any other exhaust on youtube. No way to tell how stuff sounds on there, the only ones that sound better or worse have to do with the recording.

100% agree... the only real way to know is to hear and see this stuff in person. Anyway... just a single point of reference to start from... gives a basic idea for folks to see and hear.

I bet they went with black tips because of the bronzing issue you can get if you track the car and the tips get too hot. Both my Borla and AA exhaust both had this issue after a hard 30 minute session. You really want them black if you plan on tracking the car since it's pretty much impossible to get the bronzing out...trust me, I've tried every product and method to get rid of it and it won't go away.

Anybody in San Diego have the Dinan Exhaust on their e9x M3? I really loved the Dinan Exhaust on my old E36 M3... Please PM and maybe we can meet up. I'd like to hear it in person. Thanks.

Your set up sounds very nice when I seen it in person. I'll upload my videos sometime tomorrow so we can have another to go off of.

Dinan exhaust
I'm not a basher, they do some nice stuff (I have their springs on order). However, the phony tips and black finish are a total turn off for me. I would not be have that on my car even if I was paid.

I am no longer having this installed before delivery...... for one it is on back-order and for two I am having second thoughts on the Black Tips.
I think it will be Eisenmann Sport when I am ready for an exhaust. |
