But here is the good part, they are trying to sting us both with a $1800 bill each to get it replaced. This is complete rubbish and they are trying to get away with it. Clearly there is something not right here as we have never heard this noise before and now all of the sudden after they have played around with it, it's suddenly faulty. Me and my mate both went to South Yarra Bmw oakleigh, what dealer did you guys go to? It would be interesting to see if we all went to the same dealer? |

If the problem wasn't there before and is now, don't let them get away with it. If not take it up with head office, the car companies are under a lot of government pressure to get this recall right. I got mine done at Melbourne BMW (City Rd). Haven't noticed this issue, but haven't been listening out for it either. My car makes much more pleasant noises I'm still in the honeymoon stage of enjoying |

Hey mate, I can see how you would have had trouble with them, I am defiantly going to be chasing this up, it's complete crap that they spin and they are clearly trying to shift the blame. As for the exhaust note, I don't think we ever come out of the honeymoon stage with these cars hahaha it just gets better!! |

OMG mine does it too! It just occurred to me to try and sure enough there is a relay click from the glove box area.

My airbag recall was done last week also. However I cannot hear the relay click when I press the horn. I tried this while car is moving, 50kph
Maybe I’ll try it when parked somewhere less populated.. haha |

I swear these recalls are a way to get customers in to the showroom and potentially buy a new car.
Brought my car '11 e90 in for airbag recall, a couple of weeks later, bought a F80...... |

Had my E92 M3 airbag replaced on Thur. walked through the show room, now have M2 and M4s on the brain. There is a mineral grey M4 CS , soo nice. But $200k. The M2 looked almost as nice, but need to really wait for the M2 Comp as it has the S55 engine only slightly detuned.
