oil leak after rod bearing replacement?

Just got my car back today from having Malek over at Mrf for a rod bearing replacement and noticed bunch of oil spots from underneath today as I was pulling some wheels spacers off. Car seems to run just fine and no lights have come on. Is this typical oil residue after a rod bearing replacement job is done?

Yup, could be oil that was dripping while the pan was off. It's hard to get it all by wiping since it goes between places you can't. I usually spending extra time cleaning it up several times along the way.

Wipe off the area. If it continues to leak then have it checked, could be a slight chance the oil pan gasket shifted while installing the pan back on and the tech didn't notice.

looks like residual, i would hardly classify that as "a bunch of oil"

Check back after a few days to make sure it isn't a leak. I doubt he would have left it like that without wiping.

I had the same thing after mrf. Wiped it. Then at next oil change wiped again and new plugs with new washers. No issues now. Who knows why it happens but I wouldn't sweat it.
