It looks like the new unit has a CIC 48-pin adapter harness. I will likely replace my unit once someone here confirms its all good

It did this on the original box. Version 2 didn't do this with my m3 6MT. Version3 I wonder.

When I first got it it muted the music in reverse. But for some reason today it has sound lol. I'm not sure what changed. I updated the CarPlay last month unless I only just noticed it today

Now that I think about it, it might be the update that fixed this.

What update are you talking about, last update I've received is from October I think and my music mutes on reverse. I have original rear parking sensors.

The only update was October, and I noticed my music started playing with my factory rear PDC too.

I installed my backup camera and it ended up working without mounting the ground wire. (Always thought the ground had to be mounted for it to power up?)

Anyways if I left the black ground wire hanging could it potentially ruin the camera in anyway? I'm finishing the install on the weekend since I didn't have the right tools to slide it into the trunk wire loom.

Just received the latest version from Kremersino. It was suppose arrive on 12/19 - nice to get 2 days sooner.

Nice! I just tracked mine (CIC unit, I have a '12 E93 M3) and its out for delivery today as well.. guess I have my evening planned now.

Do you have OEM surround view cameras in your car? I want to buy the same unit too, bu there isn't any info about the factory surround cameras.
(eg: is the camera button on the centre console working well to activate the side view?)

You can set it so it uses OEM cameras and PDC when going into reverse. It is in the settings of the unit.
