M235 LSD and Perf Exhast, Perf Susp
So,
with BMW perf parts, LSD, Exhaust and suspension, can an M235 compare to an e90/92 M?

In terms of numbers they are very close in all aspects. Very different cars in how they feel. No mod factory or third party will change that. |

Have you seen a driver's report yet on these mods? Anyone tested the LSD yet? Therefore, no comparisons yet

idk why people like that M235. its a typical turbo engine, small little car, cute little engine. etc.. something my sister would call cute
where the E92 M3 bigger, more aggressive looking WAYYYY better sounding engine. etc. to me thats more appealing. |

Because the M3 is kind of big and fat, as large as an older M5. Every time I got out of my Z4M and got into an E9x I felt like I was in a boat and missed the smaller car.
My fear with M235i is you won't get the same sort of feel through the controls. I have no doubt you can modify an M235i to be faster on the track, but the feel is hard to change no matter what you do. |

I still don't get why they even went with a 2 series. I guess the bean counters figured there's a market for it.
Not much of a fan of the 1 / 2 series too small of a car for me. |

Isn't the M235i tipping at 3500?? Not exactly a super model either

The M Performance LSD only has a 30% lock-up, not 100 like the M Diff on an M Car. The M Performance exhaust doesn't add any HP, just gives you a lot of noise, and the M suspension is either 5mm or 10mm lower then even the M Adaptive exhaust.
Not at all. The US car with auto comes in at 3,505 pounds.

even the 30% classic clutch-type m performance lsd is way better in performance and speed! all m racecars including the m3 gt4 and z4 gt3 also have classic clutch type lsds that are not capable of 100% locking. why should someone want a 100% lsd??? this is as useful as a completely stiff spring on your coilover! you need to understand the functioning of the different types of lsd and what the percentage numers acutually mean before you can judge on them! in short: the variable 100% m-diff is not even close to what a sportsdriver wants to have. you need to switch this unit to a different system! |
