Vanguard Titanium Exhaust - installed / freeway cruise video
I finally got time to install my Vanguard Titanium exhaust. I wanted to give some props to Vanguard, as beautiful as this exhaust is, I thought this exhaust was going to be pretty loud since in my experience most Ti exhaust systems are loud crazy loud and drone (had an Amuse ti on my G35 coupe)
This exhaust system has virtually NO DRONE, yet sounds completely bad ass under WOT acceleration. It really comes to life when I'm pushing the car, but at cruise or partial-throttle conditions it is extremely quiet. At freeway conditions 55-90mph the stock tire / road noise is louder than the exhaust - it only really starts to drone at 100mph+. A few of my friends commented that they thought they heard an exotic pulling up when I rolled up to a restaurant on saturday I definitely feel a power difference in the car, it has a lot more power on the top end, the midrange power levels didn't change. And perhaps it's my imagination but the rear end of the car does feel a bit lighter after losing that 50lbs Here's a quick youtube video I made. This is on Jamboree expressway in Irvine for those of you familiar with the area... What RPM range were you at?
There's a natural drone with this engine at 3,000 RPM that can make your ears bleed.

That's good to know. A lot of the louder exhaust drone at 3,000 RPM while cruising.

I have no clue what the general definition of drone is but my wife and I just drove up to the bay area and back (which is about 350 miles each way) and had no problems at all with noise and I don't like loud, obnoxious exhausts. My wife is not a fan of noise but this is still quiet enough not to warrant any complaints from my family's CFO, hahaha.
