Custom Built BBS RSIIs *Updated* (Photo Heavy)

Just wanted to share some photos of a build I've been working on all winter slowly, but surely. Started out as a typical custom built RSIIs. However, I was looking for some flat caps that would work with the set, but found none that works nor do they look as nice (didn't really flow the style of the wheels.) All the ones I did see were flat and angular. Rare flat dome ones were uber hard to find, next to none. If there were, no one was willing to share info. So I took it upon myself to design, draft, and fabricate a set for myself. Behold, the low profile dome caps that fits any 70.6MM BBS Caps. Now all I need to do is mirror polish them and fit RE71Rs on the wheels. Enjoy!

I can make more... but it will take a certain number of takers for it to be profitable. I know this is a very specific niche, but more can be made.

The original.

Reverse engineered.

Prototype designed.

3D printed prototype (5th iteration).

Test fitting prototype.

Fabricated from aircraft grade aluminum.

Assembly. Just needs to be mirror polished.

After hours of hand polishing with some decent weather...

And done.

Nice! Gotta love thinking out of the box to resolve issues on modding cars.

And, what's not to like about custom RSii?

I don't mind thinking outside the box, but one-offs is stupid expensive. Time invested in development, prototypes, material, and fabrication. This was more effort put in than it was worth for something cosmetic lol... However.. looks stupid good.

Also added some completed photos. Enjoy

Great work buddy, I quite like the black surround against the gold in your prototype which makes the centre pop.
Love these sorta mods when you give it your own personal customised touch.
