Speaking of brakes, that Bimmerworld 21% off promo code for Stoptech BBK has it at $4,828 shipped for ST60 (380) & ST40 (355), blue/slotted. Kind of tempting to swap out BBKs for easier parts sourcing. I figured I could sell my existing BBK, also 380/355 for some money..

Got a link?

And the discount makes the ST60 just slightly cheaper than the PFC BBK

I was answering gmx’s question. FYI, I’m running PFC F & R brake kits on my e92 M3.

Oops, thought it would be for other stuff too like their RTAB/Camber arm bushings.
They have the Eibach front ARB for 30% off. Tempting.

Found more cool shit! You'd think I'm selling all the stuff I share... ColorX Labs paint code matched vinyl wrap. And I'll be damned if it doesn't look like a great match. I can't wait to finish a few things with it!

Is that like paint protection similar to a clear bra?

Has anyone here experimented with changing the differential to 4.10:1 ratio?

No, vinyl doesn't have the thickness of a clear bra. It is mostly cosmetic.

I change the 3.62 diff (3 clutch) on my track e46 M3 to a 4.10 and it was one of the best mods/upgrades! I’ve also change the 3.15 diff on my e92 M3 DCT to 3.62 (3 clutch) and absolutely love it. 6th and 7th gears are now useable on the highway.

A 4.10 diff on an e9x M3 MT is only a ~6% change over the stock 3.85. I’d go with a 4.44 diff if it’s a track-only car but that would also depend on the tracks you go to.

I heard that the 4.44 r&p doesn't last long because the pinion gear is too small. Wonder if there's any truth to that.

Does changing the rear end ratio impact MDM at all?

Not sure about MDM, but the DCT does matter.

Pascal from KMP said the DCT can do 4.10:1 but had to check on the 4.40. That made me lose interest in 4.40:1

The 295/30/19 already gives me about 4% reduction.

Nice. I was contemplating a 3.62 gear for my dct. But just pulled the trigger on a 3.45 that I got for a great deal. But now I need to pick out the differential.

Who did your differential?

Yes I just installed mine a few weeks ago first impression is great. it's at about 3500 rpm at 75mph in 6th on the freeway with a 295/30/19 rear tire. I'm not sure I'd do it if I daily'd it, it's a weekend/track a few times a year car..

I typically cruise on 78mph.
mine is a DCT so 7th gear i am on (if I remember correctly ) about 3200 RPM

for a daily I would not change beyond what 295/30/19 already yield.

I was wondering about track day usage.

what's a good way to calibrator the speedometer?

IIRC you cannot calibrate speedometers on e92 m3's.. mine has always reads about 4mph faster than I am going which BMW apparently has some reason for doing. When I first learned of this I was worried about my mileage going up over time when it shouldn't but apparently it doesn't affect mileage.. I downloaded a speed app on my phone to confirm the speed difference but I do want to compare an odometer to gps one day on a big trip.

Of course I had a front right wheel speed sensor error the day I drive down to Laguna Seca. Luckily my scramble to dealerships in search of the part was fruitful - BMW SF was the one and only dealer with it in stock!

Bought the part and was able to slot in the install job there. Thank god it did the trick. I had a Christmas tree of lights and now it's gone!

The codes I got in case others run into it. I saw some of you guys also had speed sensor issues.

Oh and the dealership's owner has a 235iR he races. His track footage is on loop at the service department TV. Looks like he ran some 1:37, 1:41 times in a different car- caged E30 M3
