I'm selling my 2012 M3 so all the extra parts need to go. Custom made (clear) air intake. - see thru design to expose the internal velocity stacks. -adds more aggressive intake sound

Whoa that's really cool. Can you provide more details on the build and more photos?
What is the material? Is the shape/curve of this inlay the exact some as the OEM section you removed? If so, how did you achieve that? How is this inlay attached? Any deformation or discoloration from heat?

It's pretty close to OEM curvature, no leaks, no check engine, no discoloration or any visible impact from heat. Works just like stock but more deep sound when you get on the gas.

Maybe 1,000 miles on it. It's hanging on my garage now as the car is for sale. Did not seem to get dirty at all. Added the red line as a finishing touch.

I love this - any issues with thermal expansion or the adhesive detaching? Why did you only use it for 1K miles / go back to stock?

That's a shame about the Test Pipe interference - I'm about to install test pipes on my car; do you have any advice on how to avoid the rattle / best practices?

is it no longer for sale now since it's back on? honestly I don't like the red, I was going to see if you'd be willing to take off the red or if I can try to get you another plenum and do this for me
and while it's on, sound clip? |

I just have it on the car now because I enjoy the sound until I find my next car. I'll try to do a sound clip and post it here. I also have a spare intake and if I were to do it again I think I would use rivets this time.
