Fs: 2009 M3 - Dct Edc - Rebuilt
There's an opportunity for me to grab so I am putting up my well maintained 09 M3 to see... Maintenance thread / oil samples here: https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1410659 REBUILT TITLE IN HAND 2009 M3 Build date: 4/09 Le Mans Blue Bamboo Beige Carbon fiber trim 220M powdercoated gloss black DCT EDC 178K miles - rounded up, will continue to go up moderately Moonroof Comfort access Park distance control XPEL full bumper CF Mirror caps DINAN Exhaust w/Secondary cat's removed DINAN CF Intake RPI intake scoops Escort radar hard wired Dash cam Micro USB hard wired Michelin AS3+ 245/35/19 fronts, 275/35/19 rears Windows are tinted 40W LED Halo's Title: The title is branded because the vehicle was side swiped by previous owner prior to my purchase. Overall cosmetic damages and no issues with the frame whatsoever. Car aligns true every time. Body: Overall body condition is a 7/10, with small nicks and scrapes. There is a rust spot and a scratch at the rear pass door. Rear bumper has a license plate screw hole size because of idiots parallel parking in NYC last summer. Front bumper is protected with XPEL, but has a 2" scrape at the very bottom. Probably a non-issue if someone installs front splitters. Finally, pass fender color is slight mis-match after buying a new OEM fender and having it painted by a collision center. A bird flew right into it while driving on the highway, cracking the entire thing and headlight. Headlight is an OE part, made by AL so it does not have "BMW Dynamic Xenon" branded on the shroud. This does not affect anything on the vehicle Interior: 8/10. Usual driver seat bolster wear. Other than that, everything is pretty good. Seats are steam cleaned on an annual basis and conditioned with Chemical Guys' leather conditioner. Steering wheel trim piece was peeling, so I wrapped it in carbon fiber a few years ago. I keep the interior as clean as possible, so I wipe everything down with a hot towel from time to time. Other disclosures: Aside from the rebuilt title, there are 3 minor accidents under my ownership. The first one was my bad, looked away to grab something and, at most, tapped the vehicle in-front of me at 5mph. The second was not even 24hrs later after picking up the vehicle from the 1st accident, a lady with a suspended license rear-ends me on i95 in MA. The third was because this idiot decided to make a right turn from his parking spot on a 2 lane, one way road. So he clipped the driver front rim, fender, and headlight. How do you have 178K miles?! TONS of HIGHWAY cruising. Since purchasing this vehicle almost 5 years ago, I drove up and down the east coast about 8 times. Average daily commute was about 70 miles round trip, and went home in NH for the weekends. I would say 95% of my trips are all highway. Yes, even in NYC because I get on the road at 5am to miss most of the traffic. I just came back on a road trip to Miami so make it 10 times going up and down i95 This M3 is well maintained, as some of you may know from my maintenance thread. Bearings/throttle actuators have not been replaced. It is currently upgraded to the last I-Level available for the E90 M3 chassis, every single ECU is flashed with ISTA-P via the ICOM during the update process. There are no warning lights. The latest part I've replaced is the original alternator, which lasted 175K miles. Maps are updated to 2017 INCENTIVE: After funds clear, I will exercise FCPEuro's lifetime warranty to refresh front and rear suspension components (tie rods, control arms, sway bar links), and perform an alignment at a BMW dealer. The car's very dirty right now and it's like 20 degrees up here with winter weather in the forecast. But the car gets a rinse from all the salt and grime when necessary. Amazing how these cars have such a strong market price floor... lots of volatility on the high end, low mileage E9X, but E90s (and also E92s) appear to be extremely resistant to depreciation no matter the miles or condition once they are between $15-20K..
I watched a YouTube video the other day of a wrecked E90 that sold for ~$12K at auction a few months ago at Copart AND it had 240K miles on the odo.. it was completely crushed on the front end. Insane. |

Dang, thats a lot of miles! AND on OE bearings! People constantly freaking out about rod bearing failure, but clearly if you maintain your vehicle, it can be a non-issue.
GLWS!

I didn't see any problems since the last two oil samples. I checked the coolant levels before I performed a drain/fill. After my 3000 mile road trip, levels are still the same. Did not have to top off, and no error messages relating to coolant ever showed up. There's no visible contamination either, no smoke from exhausts and oil is not milky. No small drips on the driveway either. |
