2011 M3 Bluetooth issue with Note 8
Hello all,
I recently purchased a 2011 M3 with I-drive and combox. The I-drive has options for telephone connection and audio streaming. When I connect my phone, it appears to connect just fine and will stream audio and make phone calls. However, within about 1 - 2 minutes it completely disconnects from the Bluetooth, my phone disappears from the phone list, and I have to completely re-pair again. I have tried to do the software update via usb stick, however it states software is incompatible which I have read means the software is probably already up to date. My software versions are: MX-002.005.022 TX-002.005.022 Also, i was able to pair and use my gf's Iphone Xs without any problems. Has anyone else had this issue before and can help me out? Thanks, |

Maybe the phone locks and disconnects BT. Maybe save the car as a trusted device to work even when the phone is locked.

Thanks for the suggestion, problem is this happens even when my phone is unlocked.
It seems the idrive or combox just doesn't like communicating with my phone.... It actually worked for a solid 10 minutes the other day and I thought it was finally working until it disconnected again. When it disconnects it will make a high pitched sound for 1 second, and once it disconnects all stored phones will disappear from the saved phones list |
