Fumes in the cabin

Hi Guys,

I am running an AA stage 1sc with AA Hfc and x pipe. It runs and feels great but the smell of the exhaust fumes are pretty strong. When I'm driving at low speeds or especially if I'm stopped, I have to turn my vents to recycle. Otherwise the cabin smells fumy with in seconds. When I'm stopped, if I sniff around the windshield, it smells like exhaust fumes (not coming from tail pipes). Is this normal for this set up?

I've had my mechanic check for exhaust leaks but he couldn't find any. He said that because I have the sc, the car is running rich and there will be a smell. Has anyone had a similar experience or solution?

Thanks!

With no cats and supercharged I always smell like gas after driving car, but then I always have windows down.

Thanks for the input. Do you know if the fumes are from the engine bay or exhaust pipes? I may consider going back to the stock x pipe if it gets rid of the cabin fumes.

Best way I can describe it; it's a cloud that follows your car... You can't smell it when driving but once you stop, it catches up to you.
You could check for leaks but my bet is on the exhaust

Unless wind is blowing against you, the fumes will either hover around the car or blow towards you from the exhaust. Stock secondary cats kept this from going on though even with primary removed. Doubt ill ever put any cats back on though.
