I can confirm, the Corsa is drone free and it's one of a kind in that respect. Incredible tone also.

I have the ESS HFC Xpipe. After 3 seasons of track use one of the cats completely collapsed, resulting in a blown engine. There has been a supercharged M3 with the same xpipe that also had this issue.
Granted it was under extreme use conditions, but still, a blown engine is a blown engine.

For emissions I'd do the 90 degree elbow + mini cats, for smell I'd put the cats in the secondary position.

If you aren't going to track or supercharger you are probably ok, but it's something to keep in mind. The costs of a blown engine are great and you're down one car for 6 months. I have extra cars so I only lost the track season, but if you don't have another one you'll need to buy a car for the meantime.

Thanks for the feedback. Any idea why the Cat failed? wouldn't the O2 sensor give some indication of this failing?

The HFC were in the primary position, from what I remember from his post and the ess xpipe design.. so it was too close to the headers and higher heat.

Too much heat. Perhaps a very high quality cat would have survived but I have my doubts

Unless you're tracking or supercharged you're just fine.

The weekend it failed we were pulling double-duty on the car with R1 tires, burning through half a tank per session. It wasn't normal tracking.
