Code off/disable comfort access

Hi,

I have seen a nice E92 M3 that fits all my requirements, except for the fact that it has keyless entry/comfort access (CA) - I recently had an M2 stolen via keyless entry relay theft, so that is a showstopper for me.

Please can anyone know how to code out/disable CA on an E92?

I know that it can be done on F generation cars, but I am not so familiar with E generation coding.

(BTW, I know about faraday boxes, but that is not a permanent fix IMO.)

Thanks!

So I found a list of options, and "S322A" is listed as "COMFORT ACCESS". Looks like it is just a case of removing this option from from the VO.

Is anyone able to confirm that this will work?

Thanks.

Just remove one of the aerials - whole system will fail.

Or fit an autowatch ghost.

Disconnect the CA module in the trunk and the whole system goes down.

Removing the VO should also stop any signal/power going to the main CA module.
I’d do both.

That must have been a horrible experience having your M2 stolen. It's incredibly frustrating that as owners we have to consider disabling what is an excellent feature on these cars, in the hope of preventing theft.

What I've found however is that an E9x M3 with Comfort Access is no more likely to be stolen, than one without.

I have some software running that monitors for stolen E9x M3's in the UK and has collected the data for those stolen over the past 6years.

17% of cars stolen had the Comfort Access / Keyless Entry factory option. That percentage is remarkably similar to the 17% of UK E9x M3's that came from the factory with Comfort Access (1,419 of 8,277 UK E9x M3's)

Yeah, it was dreadful time - anyway I now have an E92 M3 and am really happy with it.
I nearly bought the car that I started this thread for, but it felt a little underpowered compared to others i'd driven, so I didn't pursue it in the end.

The car I bought doesn't have CA, but I still put a steering wheel lock on it at night, just to be safer.

Neat figures - good luck with launching your website!
