Japan? Rays?

I'm visiting Japan, just out of curiosity, would it be cheaper here to order a set or rays wheels?

Most of the wheels are made to order... unless you find a place that just happens to stock the size and design you want, you'll need to wait for it.

It will definitely cost less in Japan if you get it from a independent shop, not big chains like Autobacs where they charge retail pricing. Most auto shops are not in big cities so you have to travel out to the shops... many are in warehouse areas or the middle of no where.

If you tack on additional oversize luggage charges and such to bring it back on the plane, not to mention how you'll transport those huge boxes (taxi?) it may not be worth it.

A friend of mine purchased Recaro seats and took them back on the flight to the USA with him. But he also got them at a great price at a used parts shop which made it worth it.
