and this stupid iMessage crap is annoying, it's so damn slow... if I'm on Wifi, it's perfect, but otherwise it's a POS.

it is weird because I have a friend who runs iOS5 and sometimes it switches to iMessage other times it stays SMS... how do I choose?

this phone sucks, battery dies really fast, even after turning off most of my Push notifications...and Meebo and Facebook crashes 10 times before i can actually use it...i use those 2 apps the most

do you double tap the home button>depress an icon until the red dash appears>click the red dash on the icon to shut down all programs..

battery life has been good since draining once completely and the above often

yeah i deleted the apps running in the background....perhaps i should drain my battery tonight and recharge it tomorrow...

Yeah for texting my international friends it's great

But I am used to emailing my friends in Japan, so iMessage isn't anything crazy new
and it lags when I don't have full service

Well it's send and receive

I can easily go on straight hour texting numerous people nonstop
I can easily do 100 (send and receive) texts in that single hour.

Thin AIM chat...but on the iPhone via text messaging. I do about 200+ characters per minute on the iPhone, so I have no issue using it for chatting purposes.

I think if it can't send it well via iMessage (like if service is bad maybe?) it goes to text

Do a couple drains and full recharges

my battery life increase substantially by doing this

and i Have 10+ email accounts on Push, dozens of notifications, and I'm on the phone nonstop... Phone lasts a good day for me as long as I plug it in a little here and there

I switched from blackberry (old school with the side scroller, pearl, curve, bold and torch) to the 4S and I'm super happy I did! I miss bbm, iMessage is ok but I think bbm is still better, and I miss the notification lights and the customization on the bb overall I prefer the iPhone. The camera is sick!!

Anyone having issues with Siri? It wouldn't recognize anything I said for the past few days and would just respond "I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean..." to my questions. I got it back running but now it gives the same error message if I ask the where can I get a blowjob question. Did Apple fix that so you can't ask it anymore?

I stopped using Siri.. it's useless... it can rarely understand what i say now..

But yeah, most of the sexual jokes seem to have been deactivated

Yeah that sucks. I lost my phone a few months ago and it had basically no battery left when it got lost. By the time I realized it was gone I wasn't able to track it. The next day I had the sim card deactivated so nobody could rack up a huge bill under my account. Unfortunately once that is done even if someone turns the phone on it won't be able to be found. Unless you're willing to wait a few days to go get a new sim card you really won't be able to find your phone.

download "Find my Iphone", has remote restore option that will wipe the phone if stolen, and you can track it from an Apple product including random people's iPhone.

I think Apple was trying to pitch iMsg as their version of BBM, but iMsg has a long way to go to be like BBM. I came from a Blackberry, and I miss BBM's status updates. BBM was more like a chat room whereas iMsg is basically just fancy text messaging. Add a status feature and a group chat room and iMsg would be badass.

FMiP has saved the day so many times, and is even used by police to help locate stolen devices. Just look on TUAW.com, there are several stories of safe iPhone/iPad returns from this app. Its definitely a life saver. But like some have said, it doesn't work too well if the phone's battery is dead.
