Your most likely to be towed to a local dealership and then have the car dealt with there.

I thought they would send someone to repair the tire onsite. If it can't be plugged, then they would take the car to the dealer.

I don't know, but I'll tell you this from reading the forum; No way I'm using BMW Assist for a tire. They take you to the dealership who tries to gig you $400 for a tire. My Auto Insurance includes assistance/towing, I'll have my car towed to my home (if I'm in town), and I'll order the tires (for less) and then have them installed on the wheels.

Carry a plug kit in the trunk, that's what I do.

A plug kit combined with the compressor in the inflation kit will take care of you most of the time.

Doesn't it come with the car itself?

the car has the tire "goop" the liquid rubber that fixxes the tire. its under the trunk carpet. BMW assist may just give you a temp tire until you get to your destination

I believe BMW North America was using AAA from 2006 - ???

I've had a few flats and a flatbed to the dealer was all that was going to happen.

I'm not sure if they still have a contract with AAA or not.

@ OP: 99.99% you're being towed to the dealership

BMW will never plug a tire for you they'll tell you need a new tire. Like they did to me twice.

I agree. A plug kit is a good investment, and is a lot better than putting the goop in. If you do use the plug kit, you should drive at a moderate speed to a tire place and have a patch-plug put in from inside the tire.

Official from BMW USA
"we would only change the tire (if you have a working spare) or tow
you to the nearest dealership. If your vehicle is under warranty, you
can contact BMW Roadside Assistance at 800-332-4269 24/7"

I was looking in the AAA web site but doesn't say anything about repairing the tire... even though several people have had this service.

Think I will be calling them tomorrow ... flat and no plug. And not sure I want to use the sealant.

It's simple. BMW will pay to have your car flatbedded to the nearest dealer. Then they will sell you a tire and charge you to have it mounted and balanced. Under no circumstances will they plug it.

I've been through the fiasco.

Just get a patch kit to keep in the trunk.

People ... fix your own tires. You want them to wipe your a** too? What responsibility does BMW have if you get a nail in your tire. You want more entitlement?

you are driving a 2007? still have warranty?

are they RFT? if yes BMW will NOT repair them they will recommend replacing the tire perhaps even both (left and right). You be lucky to find a replacement in 24 to 48 hours if they are RFT.

Don't you pay AAA to tow you to a shop in this case? M3's don't have a spare. Also no RFT's as far as I know ... lucky M3 drivers
