My M3 was a daily for a really long time and loved it. Got an LS400 UCF20 a few months ago, just sold it because it was stupid money to try and VIP the thing. Now I have an MK6 GTI to daily. However, someone recently traded paint with my M3 in the parking lot and left me hanging, its now officially going to be my weekend car.

I daily 60ish miles a day. I figure I'll just take good care of it, and eventually refresh/swap the engine out once it's over 150K. My alternatives are a 2015 Tahoe (my wife's car) and an 88 FJ62 (Low mileage garage queen)... so rather than have the wife drive the M, I just daily and enjoy.

Perfect mix with my manual e92, drive it only when I feel like it.

I have a true first world problem - I now live within 800 yards of where I work. On a busy-ish street... So, I can actually walk to work faster than driving and I would likely not need to shift out of first

But My 2011 E92 is my "daily" driver when needed. My wife has a Volvo V70 XC for when we need to move the dogs and/or hit the back roads.

I still find myself running to grocery store for something that I could live without, just for an excuse to go for a rip.

Same here, I live so close to my office (less than 300m), every time when I pass the garage I have to give myself an excuse to take my M3 out. Usually, I drive my diesel GLE mostly for saving money on gas, just rarely drive my true love.

I daily'd my M3 for a few years before picking up a 2012 Golf R for winter and snowboarding duties. The M3 has pretty much turned into a nice-ish weather fun car.

I daily mine, but my commute is under 3 miles. It's just enough to get the oil up to temp.

That's also part of the reason I want a daily driver. I live and work in South NJ

I'm so use to getting hell for driving with the tow mirrors out all the time. Trust me though, tow things around for long enough and tell me that you can just go back to driving a truck with standard mirrors and not be annoyed.

Very cool! Wanted a wagon for the wife, but gave up after the third one we looked at had a leaking sunroof. Still think they’re super cool looking. What made you go nuts and change everything?
