So that car from Canbec was sold (thanks for the heads up youyou), however there are a few other options so I think I should be able to get something done today. There are 3 units in Melbourne Red with varying interiors/options... I've warmed up to the idea of having a red car again and I think it looks great with the gun metal 18s. Jst waiting to hear back on the status, if all goes according to plan I'll have a confirmed order in today.

I think they have a Red E90 M3 as well in their yard. So best of luck but my suggestion would be going through them directly. You'll get a better deal then if your local dealer called them up and brought the car for you. |

I'm back in business.
Got a Melbourne Red/Black Novillo E90 that is (apparently) 100% confirmed coming from out west. This one has executive package, EDC, and high gloss shadowline trim. My sales guy was adamant that it is a done deal and it better be! Glad it got sorted out, I was mentally already in an M3 so if it didn't work out I would have thrown myself off a building or something.

Just got delivery of my 08 E90 M3 on Friday. I love it. I am so glad I made the deal in the color I wanted. Too bad for the weather and the break-in...as the engine is just begging to be driven.
Good luck to all in getting the best deal on the remaining 08 M3's. This thread was really helpful for me in making my decision. As an aside I believe the M3 is the best saloon out there despite the Lexus IS-F winning the AJAC, but that is another topic. |

My father took delivery last Monday. The last Sparkling Graphite in Canada! The car cannot be described in words, and is easily the best car I've ever driven. Congrats to those who took advantage of this deal!

Awesome, the M3 looks great in SG. What options are on the car? Was actually wondering if anyone else has exec pkg without m-drive and what they think of the individual audio.

Probably not up to par with Audi's B&O but still very good for the average audiophile. |

Vise,
It has the Executive Package, and nothing else. The Individual Audio is very good, first thing I noticed was the strength of the bass. Treble doesn't seem as sharp as my current H/K audio system, but maybe that's just a matter of my ears getting used to the tone or the speakers need time to "burn in". Let's put it this way, if the Individual Audio wasn't part of the Executive Package, I'd still get it separately. |

Thanks, I've heard the same about the system so looking forward to it... seeing as I listen to a ton of music it was really the only option I had to have. Aside from the individual audio the car itself is more than enough to keep me happy.
Since it doesn't have idrive are the equalizer settings available via the stock radio screen?

Yes, as small as the stock radio screen is.. they managed to fit a graphic equalizer in there (7 band from 80Hz to 10kHz). Maybe it's just me, but I seem to get the best results with the basic +/- Bass and Treble adjustment
The radio screen is fairly limited (as you probably know). We added Sirius radio (dealer installed) and the song/artist information isn't displayed until you manually press "info". Same story when you connect an iPod to the USB interface. Better than nothing.. at least the audio performance makes up for it. |

Cool, figured as much. Thanks for the info though... I have the stock (non-nav) stereo in my 325i and agree it isn't the best but it does the job just fine. For me it came down to being able to get a 2008 M3 with minimal options vs a fully loaded 2009 335i for around the same price per month (after 0.5% finance rate) so as much as I like the toys (ie. new idrive looks awesome) it was an easy decision for me. M3!

I guess I'll see the best of both worlds.. my dad has the minimalist M3 and I'll have an almost-loaded 09 335i (Audio + iDrive) in December
Oh, one thing the stock radio does very well is the Bluetooth connectivity. We were up and running in about 5 minutes (never set it up before). You can even access your phonebook from the radio screen (this was a big deal for me at least). There's also a small meter on the radio screen that indicates your Bluetooth signal strength, a nice touch. Definately a good choice going with the M3.. had I known about these deals before I ordered my 09 335i, I might've gone with the M3 |

I had the logic 7 in my 335 as well; there is a big difference in sound, both bass and overall quality with the individual audio in the M3. I am very pleased.
and yes, the bluetooth rocks as well... |

And now I wait...
New paperwork is done and the car should be en route shortly... they are projecting an arrival date of Dec. 15th which seems like a long time but it is coming from BC. Hopefully I don't go nuts waiting in the interim. At least it gives me some time to track down winter tires for the stock 18s and maybe order some mods (blackout front grille/side gills, painted reflectors, etc). Also going to install the blacklines from my current E90 first thing. Arrgh, the wait is gonna be killer.

Congrats Paul - great deal. For anyone that was sitting on the fence for the M3 sedans the deal this November was certainly too good to pass up. Enjoy the car and hope to see you around.
