I think that maintaining the 20mm offset between front and back is the way to go.

Don't know how you figured that, I priced 255/35/18 and 275/35/18 set on both sites..

performance tires: $696 +$63 shipping
GroupAWheels: $722 +$100 Shipping (to CA)

so $760 all in vs $822

Significantly cheaper would be $100-$200 cheaper for a full set IMO, not $30 more expensive (not including Shipping).
Maybe it depends on the particular size, so YMMV.

Update: even the 19's are $30+ cheaper at performance tire.

From the east coast, I think Group A wheels is best when you factor in shipping. From the west coast, Performance Plus is best. For my MD location, Group A had best price all things considered.

Group A charges a bit more, but the shipping costs from Performance Plus made them more expensive for me. I ordered back in Nov. from Group A and had them in 3 days.

Check the vredestein website and you may find a local dealer who may be able to match the PerformancePlus/GroupA prices.

There were several listed for San Diego area, one I called said they'd have to special order them at about $15/tire delivery charge.

I did, and I am on the opposite coast. Those who had them here were considerably more expensive, even when factoring in shipping, plus there is this little issue of state sales tax when you buy from other than from an internet vendor. It's usually about the same as shipping. Of course, if a local retailer throws in mounting and balance free, you have to consider that too.

All things considered, I was better off with Group A in my location. However, you have to do your own research.

Needless to say, I said thanks but no thanks. I really thought that the dealer (and employees) suppose to know the cars they sell well enough to service/sell them. I guess I am wrong again.

I read the forum and found out about the Sessantas.
Made a few calls and found them in Long Beach (30 miles drive) for $200 each (total for 2 installed/tax was $478)
The 245/35/19 fronts are back-ordered so I ordered them online and I will get them next week. I am waiting (impatiently of course).

For less than the price of 2 PS2s I am getting 4 new Sessantas.

Since Sessantas don't come in our OEM rear tire size I went with 275/35/19 and not the 275/30/19 that other members have bought.

I found a tire size calculator online and plugged the numbers.
It looked like the 275/35/19 diameter is closer to the OEM tire so I decided to go with it.

I hope it makes sense.

"Ran Flats" - like that! Your decision is spot on; 35 section is the better choice, IMO.

They'll take care of you at Performance Plus. They're all really cool to deal with. I've been going there for years.

They should mount my tires for free with all the sales they've had from the link I posted.

The price is very attractive.
Im still a little worried that the sizes the AD08s come in will be too much tire for the car for daily use.
I might try these first then get the AD08s after. Another member here is going to have the AD08s soon, going to wait to get his review.

I got mine on. My god is this tire awesome. It's like worlds better than the PS2 in everything except tire impact noise (not so much tread noise, just when hitting bumps). The PS2 may be better against hydroplaning resistance, but as far as wet grip, this tire beats it very easily.

Oh, Lord. Was he a) ignorant or b) trying to get you part with your hard earned $$$ for the dealership? Either way, bad.

Cheers, and Happy Holidays everyone.

Didn't pull the trigger yet, but I will go for the 255/35/18 and 275/35/18.

You're in the OC. Just got to Performance Plus in Long Beach. That's where everyone on the Western part of the country is getting them.

I think ADV.1 just picked them up as the performance gains on the tires are nuts, I already ordered a set of Sessanta's, can't wait to get them

Just and FYI. These tires have a nice little trim piece that seems to be there solely as a bit of rim protection.

The front's maybe on full lock turning left. The rears will not be a problem at all, even in comfort mode.
