Shifting feel, new vs. broken-in

Has anybody driven a broken-in (5k, 10k, 20k miles) M3 back to back with a new/newish one? Is there a noticeable difference in feel? If so, about how long does it take for the transmission to break in?

I'm at 4,7xx miles right now and my gearbox still feels very new. Maybe I'm just babying it too much. I've never chirped the tires on a shift yet.

wow. A lot of self control there

I assume no LC for u either? Have fun with it man. Chirps rather easily in 1st and second after I press the m button. As for your question. I do not feel a difference after 9.5k

lets go do some pulls! That will break your gearbox in

He is talking about 6MT so no LC there.

My gearbox was quite clunky to be honest when new. It was rather heavy. It has smoothed out quite a bit since. I'm on 2000 miles now.
