Help! 2766 Code....
Hey all! Just changed my throttle actuators, cleared codes, took the car for a drive, on the way back home got another engine light the code read 2766: Vanos Valve outlet bank 2... After I quick frustrated forum search I found nothing relevant. Cleared the code, and it immediately came back. All wiring, plugs were double checked prior to wrapping up the TA install, so I couldn't imagine what's going on now.
Any help is greatly appreciated, really hoping I just have to deal with getting everything taken apart again because of some lousy connector that was somehow missed... Thanks!

Anything guys? BMW tech friend of mine said VANOS solenoid but he's never seen such a thing on a e9x. About to go through and take everything apart again to see..

This is the only error code I'm getting. The engine light and fault code showed up only right after DIY replacing the throttle actuator. I haven't test driven the car but it idles fine. I cleared the fault but it comes back after engine restart.

Sorry man, I won't be able to help here.
I never have, nor ever will buy or own that shitty app Carly. It never seems to work right with friends cars, doesn't read out P variable OBD2 numbers and it always reads out weird numbers like the one you have. I can't find a P diagnostic OBD2 number starting with 002764, nor can I find much literature on 'VANOS valvle outlet bank 1". I understand that original OBD2 P codes aren't exactly accurate, but this doesn't even read out the 28, 29, 210, etc. specific BMW codes that would be thrown that correspond to anything in the ball park. Have you tried to throw just a regular simple $20 dollar OBD2 scanner onto it and see what it reads out? I'm sorry this isn't helpful, and sorry I have a bias to carly, but I have my reasons as you can see. I hope someone else can chime in with some better understanding here, good luck! -M |

I know its been years, do update us if you solved it. I think it is a loose connector as I have the same code after replacing throttle actuators
