Awesome! How many miles does she have? I purchased an '11 AW 2 weeks ago, so just a little curious. Congrats

I'm an ex-Michigander/M3 owner? Does that count? Lived in SE MI forever, went to college in Kalamazoo. Don't miss those damn winters. It's special to be able to ride summer tires all year. Congrats on the new car OP. Enjoy in good health.

Sorry mate, it's me mixing the A/S with the Alpine's where the latter is "European winter tires".

Cheers

Congrats! That one ticked all the boxes for me except the MT. I looked at that when it had the gray wrap on, but when the vinyl was removed, it was so tempting to make an offer.

BTW: did you consider the 2008 M3 they had? It looked like it was in good shape, just a bit older than what I want to consider.

Yea it doesn't help that most of us are silent members (I'm guilty of this as well lol)

Hmm, not sure. There are several pieces of aftermarket trim on the car. Thankfully the owner included most of the OEM trim pieces, I think, there were a box of them in the trunk.

I was after the DCT specifically (I wasn't interested in a MT car... I love dual clutch transmissions)

I do agree in general many 2008's are around that seem to be a great value.

I know I'm already bonding with my car. I washed my 997tt literally 1 time in 2 years of ownership (though I often paid for a high quality detail)... gosh I hated that black paint :-)

... I think I'm going to be more hands on with the M3... love the Alpine white, I just had to give her a wash today...

Now I have to get the windshield replaced (two small chips which were repaired, but annoy me), and then decide which pieces of aftermarket trim I want to remove...

EDIT: Another great aspect of being a Michigan resident -- the front end aesthetic isn't ruined by a stupid license plate. I do not miss IL!! :-)

looks very clean and well maintained. Any mods on it? I see clear front reflectors, I thought factory was always orange.

Congrats and welcome. You may have picked up what may become the last of the "real" purpose built M motors.

Don't blame you. I my name were Melissa, I'd probably lurk too, or give myself a nick like "Bill". Heh.
@Bellemastiff great pictures. Color looks great after a wash.

Quick question guys. The black and white BMW logo/hubcap on my Competition Pckg wheels -- that is aftermarket, right?
View post on imgur.com

My car also came with aftermarket black and white BMW hood & trunk ornament (but seller gave me the OEM pieces). I don't think these hubcaps are OEM, though, and I don't have the originals, if that's the case. Anyone know a good place to purchase those?

Correct those arent OEM. Blue and White is OEM. I personally would just check around. But ECS is close to us and usually get them to pretty much anywhere in MI in a day or two with regular shipping.

Can use Tischer or Turner is you are looking for direct OEM. I would go with which ever is cheapest, just make sure its not just the vinyl label and its a full center cap!
