It just may be. However with busted motors now being a norm (rod bearings) I have a choice: Shell out actually exactly $2.8K in labor and new bearings when warranty goes... or pay this.
I intend to sell the car within a year from when the warranty kicks in so its a piece of mind. I have had DCT problems in the past so go my money's worth already. Lutfy |

Warranty is a valid debate and for 2.8K I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it's more like 5.8K. Unless you're under impression that bearings would be covered under maintenance? You should be able to get a bearing swap in under 2K, you're being screwed on labor. |

"Also I heard something about a CPO wrap in which adds another year of warranty, does anyone know about this as well?? On a seperate note, best quote so far is $3045 vs $3745 (retail) from Schaeffer BMW. Seven other dealers almost hung up after hearing this price. Awaiting quote from Jeff Steel at Passport. I intend to get the CPO wrap and sell car before May 2016 (before expiration). Not doing any bearing work...The $3K in my opinion better spent in warranty as it covers my DCT and other components. This car already had a DCT failure once. Lutfy |

maintenance, no... warranty, yes. There are too many things that can go wrong that will cost you more to fix out-of-pocket than the cost of the warranty.
