Oil change using rhino ramps?

I actually use a low profile jack on the rear jacking spot to jack up the car, then rest the front end onto my rhino ramps.

Yes that's what I do and my car is low.

I used 2x6's in front of the ramps and another piece of wood to transition between that and the ramp(like a 2x4 sideways), so there's no drop. Once you put the ramp in front of the wheel, you'll see what clearance you need.

I would be careful of placing a ramp on one side then jacking the other side. My concern is side load placed on the in place ramp. I don't think ramps will take much side load. Both fronts or both rears seem to be OK. Two jacks might also work. Of course not one jack on either end.

No worries there, I've been doing it for years due to ZCP. My rhino ramp has the capacity of 6000lb each (12000lb capacity pair), more than enough for my M3.

Back onto the rhino ramps. Then, jack up the front from the central jack point. Works great. Car is level for refill also

I use the 56" Race Ramps with the extensions and they work great. My car is lowered with a lip and it clears no problem, no need to remove my bumper when using these. The key is the extensions...without these, it will scrape.

I prefer to jack up the car slide the ramps under the wheels than use jack stands. Jack stands have a tiny footprint and I don't really trust them. Depending on what I need to do, I might use four ramps

This is currently my setup 56" race ramps with rear blocks for added security. I know it's not perfectly leveled but, worse case scenario half a liter of old oil left when changing but I think it wont harm the engine.

My driveway is sloped compared to the garage surface. I put my Rhino Ramps about 3ft down from the difference of the two (approach side facing garage). If your car was previously backed in the garage.....pull forward out onto ramps.....no scrape and you'll almost level. My M3 is lowered one inch, which makes me scrape the ramps pretty bad on a level approach. The fact my ramps are on the minor decline of my driveway makes it so easy and almost levels my car when it is on ramps. Let the oil drip for an hour or two...refill.....kick rocks! Or remove the bumper....takes 5-10 minutes after you've done it once before.

so it's ok to change the oil on ramps; car doesn't have to be level? not sure where i read that it has to but i could swear... has anyone measured the amount of oil being drained using ramps?

i can understand the concern, because i pondered the same thing. in reality, if there is a small amount of oil that doesn't drain, it is such a small amount that it will not make a difference.
that said, when i use my race ramps to change the oil, i face the car down the slight slope of the driveway and it elevates the car while minimizing the angle of the car.
