Seems like this would be kinda pointles for audi. They already have the S4 and S5. If they could just reduce the weight of those vehicles... wouldnt that essentially be a new "quattro". Maybe I'm wrong but this doesnt seem to slot into their line-up real well. That being said, I'm always down for more sports cars on the market.

+1...there is no need for this car in their lineup

It makes sense if those other cars are forced (regulated) out of the line up.

IF Audi came out with an new ur quattro...it might kick the 335i in the ass in terms of performance. Can't you guys be "car enthusiasts" instead of fanboys? I get real tired of some of the anti-Audi attitude that some of you have. I like lots of cars..Audis have nice cars..so does BMW..so does Porsche...you dont have to make another car sound bad for yours to sound better.

I think it would be a GREAT car if they produce something at 3,000lbs, AWD, and has over 300hp. That would be a huge step forward/backward in terms of automotive performance.

current steps are all towards more HP and more weight....I dont like it one bit.

someone needs to tell the designers to take it easy w the grill material though......a little less please.

I just cant see it slotting into their line-up. I'd love to see one though. Its kinda the same problem BMW will have here soon enough... too many superfluous models for no apparent reason other than trying to take advantage of "niche" markets.

That being said I'm still a fan boy lol...

I say build it! Although I dont like the grill - someone is bound to make a aftermarket fix!

Have to disagree with some of the people who say it has no place in the line up....so I guess an e92 M3 LTW or an RS4 doesnt fit either?

they already made the RS4 and its a fat pig. if the RS4 was 3,000lbs it would be different.

I hope they produce a new one (RS4) and shave about 600lbs off the previous model.....not holding my breathe though.

I agree with you on the fat pig part - just saying why not have a third lighter "5" version. Just seems to fit with what Audi has done for years with the R - they just forget to make it lighter like BMW
