Rallye BMW - Excellent Marks!!
So was about that time to do my oil change. So called up Hassel and to my dismay..my service advisor is no longer there..so after a few calls I talked to a very cool SA at Rallye..(who incidentially also owns an M3)..
I went thru my concerns regarding doing a proper warm up before changing the oil and making sure the levels were good...and ofcourse using the right oil..He stopped me before I could even continue and said to me "I got you..I will personally handle everything" In addition to the oil change I needed to have my A-pillar re-adjusted (apparently clips were broken) and wiper blades changed. And just for hahas the car decides to pop up with the yellow ABS - BRAKE and traction control off icons as I am driving to the dealer..immediately I am thinking DSC module and cool that happend right as I am going in for service..turns out it was a bad wheel speed sensor. Car comes out (no wash ofcourse as I requested) and everything is sorted...oil level is perfect..no more lights... A-pillar fixed..new blades.. To sum up Rallye BMW is one of the best dealerships I have visited (and I have visited almost all in the NY area)...very capable guys and one of the few non corporate owned BMW dealerships in the NY area. I had an excellent sales experience with Rallye for my M3, but was a little disappointed with my 1200 mile service oil change as they did not refill the oil to the correct level. I had to add nearly a quart of oil myself to get it level again!
Unfortunately I only discovered this 3/4 of the way home after picking my car up since the computer didn't recalculate the oil level until that point. I live about an hour away from Rallye and it would've been a hassle to go back to have them top it off rather than to just add the quart I had at home that I had purchased previously... |

I freaked out too when I called Hassel a few weeks ago and they said Pete was no longer there.
So Dennis at Rallye is the way to go now?

Rallye is a hit or miss. I have dealt with just about everyone there, Dennis was cool. Definitely watch out for Matt, he is a nightmare, avoid him at all cost!
On another note, you said you had a few clips missing in your a-pillar? I got this squeaking sound coming from the top of the dash / a-pillar area every time I hit a pothole and it's driving me absolutely nuts. Rallye had a tech drive my car who said they wouldn't do anything about since I'm running KW V3s - not stock suspension. Was it just a couple of clips? Any info would be appreciated on that. |

I work at Rallye. You are free to use what ever advisor you like. When you make your appt just request who you want. When you pull into the service drive just say "I have a appt with "name" "

Not to rain on anyone's parade, and this may have nothing to do with any SA but,
A friend of mine is currently dealing with a DISASTER from Rallye, They bottomed out his 2010 M3 so badly they cracked his brand new lip on both ends (chunks missing!), misaligned the bumper, and cracked a fender. This must of been some smash... They returned the car to him with the damage to have him find it. Then offered to fix all damage and replace the lip, Yet would not admit to anything "stating it may of happened in the parking lot".. (Highly unlikely due to the symmetry of the lip damage) The car has been back and forth to the dealer body shop twice already for him to find out it is STILL un-acceptable, it will be returning to their body shop once again. Some may be fine with this as "sh*t happens" and it will be fixed But to a car collector, Someone's whos car would be de-valued due to unnecessary paint work, This is very, very concerning. Also the fact the damage was so extensive and "the damager" would try to keep it a secret is concerning. Note also: I'm not looking to put down Rallye, They have treated me well in the past, I just believe the facts should be out there.

I'm shocked you had a bad experience with him!?!? Ive had 8 BMW's and have brought all of my cars to him. He's aces in my book. I'd give him another shot if you ever need anything. He ALWAYS hooks me up! |

That was my car that was damaged at Rallye BMW. What I'm pissed about is that they did not tell me they damaged my car. I had to find it on my own. Also no1 came forwards to fucking up my car. Yes Rallye is fixing my car free of charge but it had to be sent back 3 times to their collision center. I have the car home with me now and the car is still not fixed. I am really disappointed in Rallye. My father has a 2012 Alpina B7. And this happens to be his 2nd B7. His first 2012 B7 was damaged because BMW did not take suspension blocks out after car got shipped here. So basically my car was in the shop for about 3 weeks and is still not fixed. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also when I did get my car back from Rallye BMW, they gave it to me with 0 miles to empty and told me the gas station was around the block.. These people must be morons..
