I am well happy. I don't find it too loud at all. Don't think I would of been happy with OEM mod only. Below 3k its very civilised still.

I guess BMW are too good at making it so quiet and capable, discreet at the same time. But I want it to be a bit mental (maybe even scary sounding?) when I put my foot down. Just didn't' sound like a V8/420hp was in there before.

PM on the way...

I don't know. Seem to remember 2.5" or something. Not 100% sure though.

For me with the x-pipe....it's to raspy...
I think you have a lot of drone in your car at low rpm's ???
But that is just me...it's a very personal thing here...(sound )

It is very raspy above 3000rpm and screams like Gods private is trapped in a paper shredder.

Not much drone cruising in top gear 60-70mph. Its very normal. Only a bit more throaty when driving off gently compared to standard.

But I'm trying to cure the rasp... add resonator after x section or H section like akrapovic?

I was thinking of doing the OEM mod as well, which shop did you get yours done?
