Cheap VF650 Kit for Salw

Looking to unload a VF650 SC kit for only $2250. Bought this kit used a few months back (previous owner said it has 15-20k miles). Jim Colley from Fast Attack Motorsports, LLCon installed in on my car and it worked fine for 2 weeks. Then blower itself spun one of the bearings. I was gonna order new vortech blower (vf quoted me $2250) and reinstall. Then I took my car to the track and decided I don't need the extra power and staying NA for now. I also have the damaged blower if you want to try and find a way to rebuild it (vortech wouldn't sell parts to rebuild - something to do proprietary interests of VF engineering). But see pics for yourself, parts are damaged extensively. Trying to sell locally (I'm in Boston) as shipping would be ridiculous but I'd consider shipping if you want to pay for it. Sold AS IS!

Probably too damaged to rebuild due to compressor housing damage and shaft damage. So $2250 for the manifold and brackets and small parts plus $2300 for a new one plus shipping, $1000 for a tune, plus maybe a little more for whatever else might be damaged. Not sure of potential issues from the finely ground metal from the compressor housing going into the intercooler in the manifold. Likely about $6000 total. I am local but have seen too many good kits in the $6-7k range used so I am not as tempted as at first.

In anticipation for the new ess blowers coming out I'm sure there will be a plethora of used blowers for sale coming up here on the forums shortly. Off the top of my head I believe the ess and vf kits right now use the same v3 si-trim blowers. If someone wants to jump on this kit now they'll probably get a good used Vortech blower for a $1k soon.
Add an alpine tune for $630 and you've got yourself a kit for about $4k...

In fact, I'll probably sell you mine if anyone's interested in a used v3 si as soon as the release dates and prices are released for the new ess blower.

Yep... you can't get them on group buys, but email alex@alpine directly and he does SC software for $630.

Even the hex tuning from vf is only $900 and goes on sale from time to time... And BPM have offered 10% off tuning for supercharger guys in group buys in the past.

A replacement headunit/blower is $2300, with the tune and misc odds and ends you will be under $6k if you do the install yourself. and also be mindful, this isnt a 595/620 kit, its a 650 kit, so $12k new.

$9500 new list price for the comparable ESS VT650. No one should be paying $12k new for a centrifugal kit for these cars.
