Aftermarket E92 M3 Bumpers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all, First ever post here as I'm really really new to the site and the world of BMW. I'll introduce myself at a later date in the appropriate section. Not sure if this is the right area to post this but if its not hopefully one of the mods will be kind enough to move it for me. I've been having a look at E92 M3s and I dunno if I'm imagining it but alot of them seem to have different bumpers compared to the OEM ones. They look similar but the lower part/air dam is alot bigger looking? What are all the different bumper types you can get for the E92 M3? I've saw similar threads on the front splitter but cant find one on bumpers. Any help would be fantastic as I'm abit confused at the moment. |

Actually, there are not too many full bumper replacements out there. RD Sport, Amuse Ericsson, Vertice, PySpeed, Vorsteiner are the bumpers I can name off the top of my head.
There are, however, many front lip options, which usually just bolt on to your front bumper, and can dramatically change the look of your OEM front bumper. This list is much more extensive. |

There are a few full replacement bumpers out there but as in the previous post, most are add on lips or splitters.
Here are a couple of full replacement bumpers for the car: Vorsteiner GTS3 RD Sport Stradale "Street" RD Sport Corsa "Race" Bumper |

Arkym (sold by pyspeed) also recently released their bumper: http://www.pyspeed.com/ARKYM-BMW-Ful...-p/asp-ffb.htm it's pretty nice and different. if i had to choose an aftermarket bumper, i would go with the arkym |

the vorsteiner bumper is nice but i feel that from far away, it looks like an oem m3 bumper + vrs lip, so it may be a better/cheaper option to just go with the aftermarket lip.
btw, i do know that the vrs bumper does not have the bulges from the reflector covers and that the edge of the two air intakes kinda flares out a bit... but i still don't think these two minor changes justifies the price of the bumper... in the end, the choice is yours to make ;p |

Wow looking at all these has me confused now. Is the oem bumper on the m3 the mtech one? When googling m3s the bumper seems to look sorta like the mtech one but on here everyone bumper looks different to the pics i've seen. the front seems to look more aggressive, im not sure how to explain it lol

I've had my car for 2 yrs, and I still can't decide on whether I want to add a lip or bumper. Here's my problem.
All add on lips to me, have that "add-on" look. Just doesn't flow to me. But then again I haven't seen all of them in person, so I'm sure some might look better in person. I like the arkym and challenge lip. As for bumpers, they're all one piece except for Vorsteiner's. My fear with one piece is if you hit something the bumper is pretty much gone. Sure you can repair it but it won't be the same. For me my top bumper choices would be the ericsson, arkym, or vorsteiner. I'm waiting for challenge to release their lip with the brake ducts. |

Just order a Euro spec bumper from a vendor on this forum or get one used of ebay motors from a european country like germany or the UK. You cannot get a euro bumper in the US through a BMW dealer. EDIT: You can always go to a reputable body shop with a US Spec bumper and have them fill in the holes...
