Lime Rock's Christmas Special: A Grand a Day to Drive Your Own Car!!

"For $995, you can drive your own car at high speed - with a private instructor sitting "right seat" - on Lime Rock Park's iconic race track."

http://www.onehotlap.com/2011/11/lim...grand-day.html

It's comforting to know that the fee includes liability insurance to protect the track itself but too bad the 5-series owner pictured above would have to buy his own insurance separately (optional). And for a grand a day, the food and drinks at lunch better be damn good! I'd like another free Shirley Temple, please. Does that private Club Chalet offer a full body massage with happy ending as part of the package too?

Contrast with $400 to do a 3-day event with the regional PCA at New Jersey Motorsports Park, 5 sessions a day, 15 in total, on 2 different tracks--Thunderbolt and Lightning.

Why would anyone want to do this. paradocs98 is exactly correct with regard to cost, plus, I would suspect a lot better learning situation at an acredited HPDE school. Come join us at VIR with any group that runs there, and I'll ride with you.

It's an epic marketing fail. Target audience: people with too much money and no brains...

At $300+ for a regular track day, Lime Rock is already the most expensive track that I know of...
