Alex@Alpine Strikes Again!

Few days ago, I had Alex code my car with the DCT tune. Ever since I got the car I hated that jerky feeling the car would make every time it changed gears. Even worse was the fact that putting the car into D would place it into 1 instead of D1. My dad once drove the car whole day thinking it was some fancy 6speed because he could not figure out how to put it into auto lol. Anyway, all of those issues are completely gone! Alex sent me a dropbox link with the setup information clearly written out and with a video as well. I followed it and when I was ready, sent him a text and the process began. Probably took 20 minutes or so and after that I was off for a test drive. All I can say is WOW! The gears change almost immediately and now that annoyingly loud rasp from my exhaust every time I changed gears is almost gone. Overall the car just feels so much smoother and for just $60, its one of the best mods out there. Alex was extremely helpful and made the whole process very smooth. He coded my car last year as well and even then, he was great at communicating and as a guy that had never even heard of coding, he explained everything and resolved all my issues. I highly recommend him and his services! Thanks again Alex

The DCT software is one of the best things you can do for this car. Alex is the man, can't beat his work or pricing

+1 for alex, his service and his pricing...I had alex code a few things for me last week..posted a slight review in his thread in the california sub forum...here's a cut and paste of it..

okay, just had alex code and update a few things on my 2011.5 e90 m3...

let me start off by saying he was very easy to reach and work with. like he says often, just text him. he was able to work with me on meeting up to get my car done. barely pm'd him on tuesday, thank goodness he was going to be in my area today and he was more than willing to come out to me and take care of me and my car.

now onto the goodies coded in/updated/acticated:

Xirium Sat radio activation (at a fraction of the dealer cost), my car has idrive/nav and post 2010 build where the sat radio equipment is already in my car reagardless if I ordered/purchased at time of delivery (which I did not), just needed to get activated...

Euro GTS DCT software: shifts so much smoother with less lag, man really glad I decided to get this done, haven't had a chance to log some miles with it, but from the short time I did I can say it's a great improvement over the factory DCT SW I had (build date of my car is 11/2010, no SW dates to my car since delivery).

2014 Maps: again didn't have enough time to really see a difference, but since Alex was already hooked up to my car we decided to update my older version

DME update: Decided to update my DME since I updated/changed my DCT software and again since Alex was in there. Definitely feels improved, a bit more aggressive if that makes sense, could be placebo, but it wasn't like I was standing up on the throttle (not yet anyway )

all in all I would definitely reccommend going through Alex for any of your coding, local or not his service is great and pricing cannot be beat. Nice to have a vendor on here that's not all about the "m-tax".

***after a few days and some long drives in my car I can honestly say the euro dct flash and sw update to 240e are the best mods to date I've had done. My wife even commented how much smoother and better the car feels....

OP, your car is a 2013 correct? Is this the GTS DCT tune because I to have a 2013 and don't feel the jerk you were experiencing. Last you are stating that when you put it into D it goes into drive logic D1?

Yeah my cars a 2013 and yup its the GTS DCT Tune. The jerkiness was not that bad but it was very noticeable. Even my passengers would notice it. With the tune, it's still noticeable but significantly less then before so now it's smooth and feels great lol. That's right, with the tune it goes straight into D1 as without it went into 1.

I've had nothing but positive things to say about Alex@Alpine also.

He's done both my E92 M3s.
