I have DCT and to be honest I feel like the drone went away when I put the test pipes on. Now the car just sounds really mean and you can hear the growl. Sounds very exotic. |

Hm... that's annoying that you reckon there is no drone :P lol
Always wanted a Eisenmann Race but don't want to spend ££££ on something that may drone. Ah well, got my Akra now. Maybe I can finally rest in peace on the exhaust subject. Maybe.

Didn't you have OEM mod and test pipes at one point? TP + E.race is nowhere near that level of drone, not even close.

I have a Eisenmann Race Black series and to be honest i love it way to much; but a few people told me that the ACM mod with the OEM muffler is the same basic theory because it is an empty muffler with no baffles.
Did anybody here go from Eisenmann or another aftermarket company to a ACM mod? Does the ACM mod sound aggressive? like the Eisemann? |

I went from ACM Mod + TP to full catless + Eisenmann Race. You couldn't pay me to go with another setup, this is by far my favorite. Completely civil at cruising speed on the inside (great sporty sound outside), a beast when driven aggressively. But unlike ACM mod + TP, it's good quality sound. So this is my comparison: Would you rather have 10 lbs of Mcdonald's, or 5 lbs of ribeye?

If you were starting from scratch, I'd tell you to go ACM all day. But since you already have E.Race, I'm not so sure.

I have had the e.race, but don't see anyone comparing the corsas. How do those compare to these? Any setup people care to comment on as a comparison....

The OEM mod with any alteration to the xpipe is just loud, shouty and raspy.
Mega loud - yes, but the to me it sounded horrible. Didn't have any drone, but no bass either. Just lots of high end treble shouting. Very unrefined sound. I say the Eisenmann Race sounds completely different, or any other proper exhausts.

As far as sound goes, it's the right mix of what I was looking for. It reminds me of a F1 car actually. It's slightly higher pitched but rumbles at idle and taking off. Overall I'm very pleased. |
