New to me '08 Silverstone E90 M3 [Slow Build Thread]
Hey everyone here is my new to me E90 M3. The car has quite a history it was owned by a forum member and some of you might know it as the Silver Ghost.
Apologies only pics I have at the moment: After speaking to previous owner these are the mods that survived the cars part out: - IND carbon fiber roof; - Challenge carbon fiber trunk; - Eurospec front bumper; - LCI tail lights; - RE tie rods; - AA or RE shortshift kit (have to confirm which one); - M24 Headers; (possibly some other M24 goodies but haven't had car apart or on lift to take a look yet); - RD sport swaybars; and - Built in passport radar detector. Goal for immediate future is to tidy the car up and here are the parts I've ordered: - IND color matched front grille; - IND color matched side grille with lightly smoked LEDs and new m3 emblems; - IND gloss black side mirror caps; - New perforated leather steering wheel plus new steering wheel trim; - Pedalhaus pedals; - ZHP shift knob; - New headlight lenses, Osram 5500k bulbs, new ballasts and adaptive headlight sensor (got some moisture in driver side headlight so doing it all while I reseal them); - Retinting to remove old and purpling tint; and - Probably some other small bits and pieces I can't think of right now. Long term I hope to bring the car close to its former glory but big mods will likely be next summer. I'll update with pics as the parts come in and I start doing stuff. . It's been a long time since I've last seen that car ripping down the roads of Toronto, so that is where it ended up! Alberta! Interesting that someone from the west coast would buy a east coast car. Whats the mileage?

I believe the car was actually brought to Alberta by the person who briefly owned it in between me and the owner who did all the mods but I could be mistaken, I definitely did not bring it west. I'm usually really hesitant on touching cars from east coast but the car is very clean and you can tell it was never winter driven - bought it at 72xxx km on it.

IND parts came in - painted front grille, side grille with new emblems + light smoked LEDs and black mirror caps:
Front grille before (Black and paint started peeling): After: Side grilles before (black, dark smoked LEDS and really faded emblems): After: M3 badge on trunk had also seen better days so decided to debadge: Overall after pics with black mirror caps on and fishbowling as old purple tint removed with sun shades up, fresh outside the carwash (please ignore condensation in driver headlight - will be fixed soon enough): more to come as other parts get delivered! Looks clean with the painted grills and gills.
Any plans to paint the entire trunk SSII? Think that would look great
