I bought the car through a small, private dealer that marketed it on this forum. I had an independent BMW dealer complete a PPI, which came black clean. also spoke to both the mechanic who did the inspection and the sales manager who dealt with the car - they said the car was in great shape and they supported buying it. Never saw the car before it was shipped about 600 miles to my door. The car arrived in excellent condition and has been a blast to drive. Good luck!
Thanks for info. I might have to do the same as its harder to find the right car close by. It seems some private dealers are not as keen as yours to take car over for PPI. How did that work exactly; did your indy dealer take the car over, or BMW came to pick it up?

The private dealer took the car to Bmw for the PPI. Bmw provides a document summarizing their review of the car and I called them directly. Pretty smooth process.

How would you guys value a 2011/12 ZCP sedan/coupe with extremely low miles? I'm talking like 5-10k. I've seen a few around and lingering, but most seem to be asking 50k+... Is that reasonable if they are in good shape and well optioned?

EDIT: Maybe this is better as it's own thread out in this forum, just figured it'd be easier to ask here and saw some others do it...

The ZCP sedan was only produced for 2011, so if you find one with under 10k miles in pristine condition for $50k I would say that is a ballpark figure of what you would expect to pay.

I have a 2011 E90 ZCP MSRP was just under $74k. I bought it back from BMW in 10/2014 for $46k and change when it came off lease and had 27k miles. Not sure how a low mileage one can go for $50k. Seems a little on the high side. It's difficult to gauge cars value with low miles.

e92123, That doesn't seem too bad. What was it before taxes and all if you don't mind my asking?

Assuming you paid about $50k for the car before taxes, I wouldn't say you paid too much. Could you have waited until fall and found one on the other side of the country for a few grand cheaper? Probably, but now you get to enjoy a very special car with extremely low miles all summer.

Pre-tax was $47,998. I took it for a PPI and everything is in perfect working order. One owner car, too.

It was $47,998 pre-tax. Great points though. To be honest I didn't search as hard as I could AND I kept my search radius small (SoCal), which is to my detriment.

Geez man. I'm looking like I got ripped off.

Date: 4/23/16
2011 m3 e93
44k miles
1 owner, dct, enhanced sound , nav, all options basically
Mineral white, black leather
Dealer also is giving me an oil change and 2 new rear tires

$39,500.

I honestly couldn't find this car anywhere. I wanted to white on black and basically no other combination so that's how I justify paying it. Haha

Also I noticed a lot of cars at lower prices with accidents on the car fax
