Most likely 08' can't see 09 going for that.

That sounds reasonable low 40's for an 08 sedan

Thanks. If dealers are paying lower $40Ks for E90 at auction, what is the price to the customer? I have no idea what margin the dealers target?

I'm looking at a loaded '08 E90 with 15K miles - they are asking $48K. Not sure if this is negotiable or not.

Umm not sure Ive bought all my cars from a buddy who goes to auction I attended one in palm beach ( pre auction ). I'm sure it all depends but they deff tack a few k onto the price. I'm also trying to get into a 08 ' either 335 or m3 hopefully M sedan well see what happens but I will keep you posted on the details of the auction.

If you were local to me I'd hook you up if you interested in dealing with transport I can help you out. Not sure what route your wiling to take. But I know auction depends on the day if there are 30 m3's then the price will prob be a little cheaper. The dealers that go look for specifics. So depending you can pick up a great deal.

It's tough to tell what they are going for using kbb, edmunds, and nada I get way different numbers.

But seems like 48 is high. Cali market seems strong from what I hear so could explain, all depends on if you need it next week if it's the exact car u want etc. If your not scared to walk and wait for a diff M throw them an offer and see If they bite. If not walk and look elsewhere. Seems there are great deals if you are willing to wait for it.

Thanks buddy - I wish I lived in the east/mid atlantic (for car buying purposes)! I threw out a $42K offer with a "move quick" guarantee and they didn't bite, so I'll wait and keep looking.

Yea sounds good keep doing your thing. I'm sure your find your car. I'll keep you updated with my situation as well seeing how were in the same boat.

I would have throwen them the same offer seems fair there are coupes going for 45 k so.... If they didn't counter then they didn't need to sell it that bad maybe you'll hear from them again soon either way

I got a loaded 08 E90 with 8K miles for 46k cash in June. Tell him he better have put at least $4k of cash in the trunk too. A good used car profit for a dealer should be about $500.

Keep offering the low $40s price +$500, offer it once a week or so, I bet you someone will bite after 2 weeks. But you have to be persistent and say the same offer every time, "that you're the same guy from last week and you have cash on hand to do the deal".

You can bet thay will drop in price and as one member commented: "PATIENCE"
is the key to a deal. Know the going prices for options and miles. Watch the Carfax reports.

Spoke to a couple dealers with '08 M3 E90s with 10-15K miles. They are pretty firm on high $40s to low $50s. Thankfully I'm in no rush.

46.5 canadian dollars? Pesos? Yuan? Liras?

If it's USD, i think you may be on target with DCT. Maybe you have overpaid by about $500 to $1000, still a good price versus what other ppl are paying.

Not Canadian dollars, that will be stealing.
I located the car in US and looking to import it back.
