GP Thunder Bulbs the Best?

I bought some GP thunders when I first got the car 3 years ago and one finally burned out. Are they still the way to go as far as angel eye bulbs are concerned? Before anyone suggests it, I'm not buying some $300+ LED package; I just want bulbs.

They are simply a bulb, limited by the design of our Angel eye assembly.
