Recaro Max @ AMX Performance - Sportster CS Reupholstered Seats

As many of you already know, Recaro Max from AMX Performance is one of the best in the reupholstery game.
He's done some amazing seats from BMW's to Ferrari's and Porsche's.

His attention to detail is next to none. Can't wait to have these here in a few weeks.

I'm super stoked to present my Sportster CS covers that I got made by him.
- Headrest stripe delete
- ///M Embossed headrest
- Close match Cinnamon ZIMT leather
- Close match stitching
- OEM Recaro lettering and remainder of upholstery

Pricing for custom leather covers are about $1600USD shipped
Complete seats are $5-5.5k USD shipped

Yes he can. I inquired a couple weeks ago and he said he could source OE speed cloth fabric.

Thanks guys!! Yeah he can basically do anything you want, sky is the limit. And heated isn't an issue

This is such an awesome option for people that have seats and want to redo them or get a tired set and want to customize them.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQs...zlG9qBQ/videos

His videos on removal and installation show it's actually suuuper easy to do so it's very worth doing yourself.

There's probably at least 10 guys in your home state that will do comparable job for half the price. I remember seeing his prices in beginning were fair but there's no way I would pay those prices for seats in third world countries to be shipped here for that kind of money. 1600$ for covers is still a lot of money no matter the work. I'm not nocking on the work just saying 100$ in materials and a day of labor should not cost 1600$

Yup, Max is the man!

I had a pair of covers made by him and swapped the covers myself as I already had the seats.

I went with:
OEM Fox Red Novillo leather & stitching
E36 M3 style M-tricolor motif in the backrest
"Recaro" delete
///M embossed headrest

And then I painted the seat belt cutouts a metallic gloss silver and added aftermarket heating pads with OEM integration myself.

Incorrect. OP did his research - as have I when I had my Sportsters back in March 2019. I contacted about a dozen high end upholstery shops, none could get a close enough match for my leather. None would even be able to make them using the original Recaro attachments. None were anywhere near AMX's cost even after converting USD to CAD.
They were more for lesser work.

Good luck finding someone to do this level of upholstery work for $400 per seat as you are proposing. That simply doesn't exist.

More importantly, AMX's covers are 100% plug and play identical to the original Sportster upholstery using the exact same clips and attachment mechanisms. No hog rings or other methods involved like any upholstery shop may do based on their comfort levels.

No frankenstein or irreversible work. That's what you're paying more for as well.

...Literally, your very first sentence.
$1600 for a pair of covers, at half = $400/cover.
$5.5k is the cost for custom upholstery including a set of Sportsters fully assembled.

No it's $1600usd shipped for a pair of covers, and as my friend above has mentioned, they are fully plug and play which I haven't seen anyone else do.
