Squared Wheel Setup

I've been trying to do my research but I have not been able to come up with a concrete answer.

I'm looking to purchase a new set of 18 inch track only wheels and I'd like to go square with 275/35/18s so I can rotate tires as necessary. What I am unclear on is the proper offset to go with? I'd like to not use spacers.

Suspension is MCS coilovers in the front with 6 inch springs with helpers with ground control camber plates.

I'd probably start with RE71r then move to Hoosier R7 and then Pirelli or Conti slicks after that. I'm not looking to win anything so maximizing tire sizes are not important to me right now.

From my reading possibly a 18x10 or 18x10.5 with et21 or et22 might work? I can custom order through somebody like Forgeline or BBS and fine tune the offset exactly to fit my needs if I can avoid spacers.

Has anybody found a setup that works without spacers in the front or rear or is it not possible?

On the E9X it's pretty easy to run square 10.5" without any spacers.

I have several sets of TEAL16 in 10.5 ET27 which fit perfectly. I also have several sets of TA5R in 10.5 ET24.

I don't think you need custom offsets, these were already designed for the E9X.

I drive to the track with the 10.5 and 275 RE71R and in the back seat I have the 10.5 285/30 R1 which is wide as hell. It's a great setup.

SYT, are you running the BFG R1s in 285/30/18 square with no spacers? Did you have to "massage" anything front or rear to fit?

Yes, that's what I run. I did not do any special massaging but the fender liners are somewhat beat up from too much track use.

I have a set of 2/3/5 mm spacers on me at the track always so I can tailor it a bit here or there if it's rubbing somewhere. I try to run without spacers. I also run a F80 CS with the same setup (different offset wheels but also 10.5 square, 3 sets of TA5R wheels) and both fit quite well. I have not run the E90 yet this year so my memory might be a bit foggy, but i can test fit if you have questions

My front spring is 5" i think and i have a helper as well, so the perch is kind of in the way but nothing dramatic. If you use a shorter spring than I have and put the perch above the tire then you can fit an 11, but I haven't tried.

The 285/30 bfg is a wiiiide tire, so as this fits I'm good with it.
