Paid!

I'm wondering how difficult the installation is going to be...

For those who have done it, can you describe the process? (How long it took, does it require 2 people, etc)

I'll be honest, it took me hours granted I was doing it alone. It was such a pain in the ass to get all the hardware to line up right and screwed together correctly. However, the fitment is spot on and looks amazing. Grab a case or two of beer and get ready to drop countless f-bombs. lol

Yeah Pom doesn’t stock one thing and drop ships directly from the supplier in China.

That means absolutely no care for quality control and he’s making $100 maaaaaaax on his items to have no competition.

Honestly, feels a little bit cheap that we arranged this group buy and committed to buying only for it to just be a sale offered to the entire world. Doubt I'm the only one who feels this way and decided to wait and see what happens when they actually come in. There's no reason for me to pay ahead anymore.

The "Sale" to the entire world only happened because I reached out him and he said yes to the GB. If there were no GB, there would be no "Sale". You only have 1 week to order, because the "sale" ends before they come in (as in the coupon will expire). He ordered the pieces bc of the GB... again, no GB, no pieces, no sale.

These pieces would be +$1000 plus shipping. I think you should order and not think about the sale. The point is to get the pieces for a good price... and we got these for $750 shipped flat rate.

All we did was put our names on a list, lol. I could see where you were coming from if we all paid in advance, and jump through 15 exclusive hoops... then he just made it public. The fact is we just showed interest, he gave an excellent rate, for a limited time.

Funny you inquire... I'm working on seeing if we can get a rep of the matching Upper Varis diffuser. :-)

Thoughts everyone?

That's the ideal plan! I tried looking for a rep of the upper varis but can't seem to find anyone who makes it.

The install is quite easy given the right hardware. I have an authentic Varis undertray, but helped a buddy install a knockoff.

Though the Chinese knockoff tray was quite nice, the hardware provided was absolute garbage. After fighting with it for an afternoon, we reached out to Varis directly and bought their hardware, which made the install a breeze. I think Varis charged him $90 for the hardware kit.

To all the guys wondering about mounting this diffuser, I'd recommend getting a quality kit for $80-120. Then work with the two rear and front mounting brackets. Mount those to the car first and test fit a few times to make sure those are aligned correctly. Once you feel comfortable enough then you can add 2 outer holes on each side of the diffuser and mount it. This should give you 99% of how the mounting till end up.

The rest should be pretty straight forward. I had a local shop make me a varis copy and had made a custom mounting solution that was adjustable. Once I messed up my Varis rep. I originally wanted to replace it with another and then I remembered what a pain it is to mount up correctly (E90 at least) so I opted for something more sturdy and made for the E90 cars. Post pics once everyone gets theirs!

For anybody considering this - I purchased a couple weeks ago and unfortunately received a furlough notice a couple days ago. Would anybody like to take my spot and save me the 10% restocking fee that this company wants to charge me?
