This makes me sad, as it is my exact spec in e92 I am going Monday to trade in on an F90 M5 Competition. I know I will love the new beast, but I tend to grow “attached” to my cars, and definitely had one to this, my first new car, my first one ordered exactly as I wanted, first BMW, and all that fun stuff. 😢

Congrats OP, and go and enjoy her a little bit extra for me, too!

I'm trying my best to feel bad for you but you're about to enter another galaxy of speed and capable of low 10s for around $6k (see jealous) haha, but I hear ya, it's not always the shiniest, newest toy that gets us, it's the story behind it. Thank you and enjoy that beast!

Terrance, I hear you on the Lexus crowd. I used to have an IS F for a couple of years and the group seems to be die-hard Lexus/Toyota products only. Inevitably the reliability argument always gets brought up in any conversation when it involves another make.

Don't get me wrong, the F cars are great but they really don't feel all that special when you start living with them and working on them. (Besides the LFA)

Looking under my IS F all I see is stamped steel suspension bits, nothing elegant or special. Just looks like a regular car.

YES! I'm glad to not only have met you but now to know you've been a part of that community too. Once again, the F cars are much appreciated especially in a mostly FI world, but once I appreciate non-Lexus' at our cars and coffee meets it was like everybody got uncomfortable and wondered why I was appreciating other makes of cars.

I am a car enthusiast, not a brand enthusiast.

Not all of them were like that, but most. Strange group of people.
