I bed them in the first session of my next track day, lol. Plenty of space to get them nice and hot without worrying about something stupid happening. My experience has been that bedding isn't really a big deal if you're using the same compound again. They will self-bed from normal use and that first session on track takes care of the rest.

I might get flamed for this.. but I got some new tires. I've heard some really good things about these new RSpros so we'll see! I'm still on the fence about really committing to making the M a full tilt track car.. so less spent on some things helps ease my mind in case I do dump it in the future.

Ended up getting a good price on some lightly used JRZ RSones...
Couldn't say no. Won't have them on in time for my next track event(9/24) but hopefully before my 10/17 event!! Anything else that I should do when doing that install? I was thinking maybe doing a monoball conversion. |

Go for 700/1000 spring rate or a similar stiff rear rate to avoid rubbing fuel filler line at laguna
GAS monoballs as mentioned |

Haha, have fun man. Get ready for the money pit ride! Sounds like you're off to the races
On the plus side, tracking ruins cruising / canyon runs. So least you'll save on gas.

3rd day in the books.
Ran Thunderhill east both directions. The RS pros held up really nice. Dialed them to 36psi hot and I was getting extremely comfortable by days end. Do88 oil cooler helped a ton with OTs.. Hope to have the JRZs on by the next event on 10/17 on T-hill west. Also need to do my DTC70s! |

Glad to hear things are going well. Are you still satisfied with the Hawk pads? Any reason you're moving up to the 70s? My fear would be that the tires may not be sticky enough to warrant that pad and you'll just find yourself in the ABS every time.

At this point you already bought them, so run them. The 60 and 70 are very similar, but if you find the ABS engagement to be too aggressive/frequent, it might be a sign to go down to the 60s. It will come down to your driving style and how much heat you get into them.

Had some fun at the track, and a really good pucker moment https://youtu.be/Gu4cMovX1EU https://youtu.be/ucTVbAPhWQ0 Definitely found the limit of the RS-pros. I'll run them for a few more sessions, but for next spring I'll be going with something much better. |
