Space Grey E90??
Guys - does anyone have a space grey E9x M3? I'm getting closer to the time I need to finalise my spec and I'm really torn on colour right now.
Initially I went with SSII based on the press release release shots but when I saw it in the flesh it lost me. Maybe it was the light but anyway, then I moved to White not least because I saw a couple of coupes in that colour and it looks great. Now though I'm not so sure. My main limitation is that I really want a light coloured interior and as I don't like the silver or red, I'm left with Beige. White with beige is pretty daggy but I reckon I could get away with it with a heavy tint. And now with Space Grey being available I'm thinking maybe that! And no Luke - I am not doing Interlagos Blue. Don't ask me why. Yours looks great but I think the Coupe carries stronger colours much better than the sedan. |

Hey aggie57,
Im with Big on this one, Space Grey with FR would look nice. Although wasn't there a Space Grey with bamboo at your dealers or has it been sold? It looked ok but not my cuppa tea! |

I think it was sparkling graphite. I checked with Jason - no individual colours at the moment.

Hi aggie,
It's a shame you don't like Fox Red ... it looks great with both Alpine White and Space Grey ... makes the interior look a little bit special too. Bamboo Beige is fairly light. Personally, I don't think it would look as good (as Fox Red) with either of the 2 exterior colours mentioned .... would look good though with Melbourne Red! I'm with you though on the sedan not taking strong colours as well as the coupe. If I was getting a sedan it would be Space Grey and Fox Red. |

I have space gray, palladium silver/carbon interior & 19" wheels. Don't waste your money on extended leather with this combo. Had it since November, Couldn't be happier....
Only mod I made was black grills - matches fthe font air dam/intakes. If you want to make it look good from behind, polish the stainless muffler with "purple". Comes up a treat. |

As discussed previously in a different forum, individual coloura have been avalaible in Australia for awhile. Check with your dealer. I think it's a $5000 option.
I think if you're buying an ///M car you must go with the colour uniquely avaliable with them. Space grey is available with the normal car, and although it's an aggressive colour, it will not be a stand out colour. So far I have been very impressed with the Jerez Black and Silverstone II (which I have). Both these colours with black interior give the car the real sportiness and make it look very luxurious. You will not regeret. This is my personal choice. Good luck with your choice, and at the end of the day you have to drive and live with it and be happy.

Thanks for all the comments - I think in the end it will come down to a decision in the showroom with the colour samples in front of me.
FYI here is my wife's X3. Almost answers my question doesn't it! |
