If they were going to ban him they probably should have just done it on the X1 forum. Banning him here was over the top and reminiscent of other recent bans...

Note to the mods: It would be helpful to post some actual 'forum rules' so that members can avoid these seemingly arbitrary bans in the future. I've searched and cannot find any stickies or other posts/pages describing your terms of service.

While I love the comedy (the oil threads had me in stitches) sometimes things are taken too far, especially if it's hurling personal insults or just rabble-rousing to provoke/incite controversy, or the worst, outright trolling. Think a good standard is would you post this same type of stuff without anonymity, eg send the same types of emails to your acquaintences, friends, family, or at work/business transactions, etc.
