Bluetooth issue when using phone

Lately my Bluetooth has been acting up. It will pair with my phone just fine but when I make a call it will not switch over to the cars speakers. I will place/receive a call and the radio will just continue to play even though the nav screen displays the call info and shows I'm connected. The call is connected but it just won't play over the speakers.

Before anyone asks I have made sure that the car is selected as the speaker source on my iPhone. Usually the next time I start my car the Bluetooth will work just fine but it has been doing this more and more lately. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix?

Have you updated the drivers/comm software in the car? There are recent-ish updates that help with iPhone bluetooth issues among other things.

When it happened yesterday I tried disabling the Bluetooth on my phone and then turning it back on. Even when it reconnected my calls still did not play through the speakers.

Try to delete the phone from the car and then pair it again. I had similar issues on my 650i and occasionally I needed to do this............Phil
