West Springfield, MA. Agreed....up here, M3's tend not to be as common due to their inferior winter capabilities compared to AWD cars. Plenty of Audis, the bimmers tend to all be xdrives and the Benzs are all 4matics.

Guess it must depend on the area. In south Florida m3's go unnoticed.

I still get a lot of complimentson the car but it is lowered with a BBK, which makes a big difference.

I decided to take the M3 out for a spin today since the rain cleared up and I am still trying to break in the new exhaust. I was cruising around OC feeling sexy and womping some exhaust notes.

As I was slowing down at a oncoming red light I see a new Lambo Gallardo LP XXX in matte white pull to the right of me and whomp on his gas...Put me in my place...Damn that thing was sweet. But it made me feel like i was driving a honda.

Geez, the E9X M3 model is now over five years old and yet people still comment how beautiful the car is!

Just today I was parking my M3 on the way to Dunkin Donuts when a guy in a E92 335is pulls in next to me and compliments me on my car. He'd seen me at the intersection when I entered the shopping center and just had to pull in after me.

After grabbing a coffee and leaving the shop, I overhear a guy in a Mustang tell his wife/girlfriend how he really liked that M3.

Getting two complements within 15 minutes is pretty good, but comments on a regular basis are not.

My wife's best friend is near Nashua, and we have a vacation home in York, ME, so we go out in Portsmouth a lot. I actually grew up in Portsmouth. Had a Mustang 5.0 and did just fine in winter with snow tires.

I have to agree, it doesnt turn alot of heads in socal since there are alot of nice cars. but thats not to say alot of dickheads try to still show off around me. something about the m that makes other drivers (including other m3 drivers) think i want to race all the damn time

Too many rich people here in Miami, people don't really notice the M3.

The body is essentially a beefed up 3 series, and some people don't realize it's an M. That's what I love about this car, it doesn't scream "look at me!!!"

It's muscular yet subtle, and very pretty.

I have spent a lot of time in Socal and a bit of time in Soflo. Both these areas are very "look at me" types of places. It isn't just the cars, but the subcultures in general. Lots of money, lots of really high end cars. I remember once when my wife and I were at the Fontainbleau. I remember counting 26 Bentley sightings in 3 days........and 0 Honda Accords!!! Wouldn't want to own a Bentley there. Just too common. The one somewhat attainable brand that isn't very common, anywhere, however, is Aston Martin.
