Confirmation: Ohlins RT with Apex Wheels

Can someone confirm that I'll need to run a 5mm, 3mm or no spacer with the Ohlins RT coilovers and 18x10 et25 Apex wheels?

I see that spacers are needed for KWs, but can't seem to get good info on the Ohlins RT and this wheel setup.

EDIT: anyone else notice the Apex Wheels site is down?

On a 1M with Ohlins R/T and 275/35/18 tires on 18x10et25 ARC8s I do not need a spacer. This is with -2.5 camber, incidentally.

No need for spacers with that set up

thanks for the quick replies. I wanted to avoid the 5mm spacers in the front, looks like I won't need them.

bumping this thread up since I have the same question.

18x10et25 275/35/18 with Ohlins R&T. Does it need spacers up front?

dj_dub said he needed it with his setup, where the two replies here said no..

It's really going to depend on what tire you run. The reason some say it rubs and some say it doesn't is likely because of the tires. So, you might want to ask what tires people are mounting to get a better idea of the whole rim/tire combo.

Bump. Have same question, was told by Harold from HP that I might need to run a shorter spring for an 18x10 to fit. I would rather not shorten the stroke of the shock and would prefer to run a spacer instead. Im not concerned with the spacer as much as I am concerned of how much camber I would have to run up front for a setup with a spacer to work. Since the car is also my daily I would not want to have to run anything greater than -2.5 for it to work? Anyone have experience?

don't think about it too much. A 5mm spacer is almost nothing at all. Thats 5 paper clips unwound side by side.

Run 2 degrees of camber its great on the street. Once you exceed 3 degrees you start to get uneven wear. If you notice uneven wear at 2 degrees you aren't driving hard enough.

I am installing Ohlins next week with apex 18x10 up front and will update here.

Edit: I will also be installing my CCW which are 18x10 with 285/30/18 upfront. If that works, anything apex sell will.

Confirming here I run Ohlins RT with 18x10 et25 with 275/35 and it fits perfectly. I run around 2 degrees of camber on my Vorshlag plates

Yup, I just installed a set of Ohlins RT at the recommended ride height per Ohlins with Apex ARC-8 18x10ET25 on a set of 275/35/18 Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires. No camber plates. No need for a spacer, there is plenty of room between the collars and the tire.

I think if it was lowered over an inch, a spacer may be needed.
