Okay thanks! I will call my dealer to have them look into this to confirm...this is great news that they reduce the price on the Comp. Package!

Called BMW Canada, they werent much help, and said that it could be supplier not having ceratin items for that packages it can get reduced due to this...

Makes no sense...

Is that $5900 for the 7MA and the ZOK packages or the 7MA alone?

Having bantered back and forth with my SA yesterday, this is an excerpt of an email that I received from him yesterday. It's Cut and pasted verbatim so forgive the grammatical errors in the response from BMW Canada:

"The WS price of the comp pack on M3 Sed is $5,185 (+$400 special order fee).

Probably the customer is referring to the M3 Cou Competition Edition in which we included a nominal price (WS) of $3,550 for the comp pack, however, only as part of the Edition. Mostly, we kept the portion of the comp pack at a lower price to allow for a larger share of Individual content since retailers make 20% margin on Individual content as opposed to 9% for the comp pack. In other words the price of the comp pack was artificially low as part of the Comp Edition.

The comp pack on M3 Sed is still at the price mentioned above.
Regards,

Frederic"

Looks like 7MA is still $5k plus according to my dealer in Canada.

Nice.
So by the sounds of it, what ever Duncan ordered that required a few special items (I'm assuming that Black/Fox leather is special order in Canada) allowed him access to the ZOK competition package usually reserved for the Edition models.

So I'm hoping that Duncan gets to keep this arrangement, and the rest of us continue to find ways to pay as close to whole sale, and waive the special order fee.

Edit: I'm sure CA's across the country enjoyed the barrage of calls and emails by pending M3 owners on this topic the past couple of days.

Could be.
Funny considering how few Sedan sales are claimed, or reported and how popular E90's are in this small pool of Canadian forum members.

I toyed with an E90 but that lasted about a second before I came back to my senses

I rechecked my order info on Autoquote and it lists the ZOK at $3900 list $3550 cost.

Most of the coupe guys are out on the road driving fast, enjoying their cars.

All the sedan guys are on here all the time procrastinating from our work and kid duties!!!

This actually made me laugh out loud as I read it on my phone as I was rolling in to my 13:00 meeting 5 minutes late on the way back from lunch.

Thanks Will

That was just for 7MA alone, I was quoted ZOK for $3900; but when dealer placed the order and 7MA was added I was called and advised of price change...

I am going to see if I can get the WS pricing everyone seems to be getting of $5185 plus the special order fee for 7MA...

Well it is here and I just went down & checked it out and the only change that I could see was the change from the CF trim to the aluminum trim which I am more than OK with. Now I am getting excited!

my SA at BMW Toronto said that it should be 3550+400 special delivery charge but I am budgeting for 5185+400 special delivery.

Anything under 5k just seems too good to be true!

Looks awesome Duncan. Although I'm really not sure why we keep seeing confusion on the trim delivered vs. ordered... I mean how hard can it be?

I didn't realize in the Black / Fox interior that the doors were so red (just like in the regular Fox only). I like that!

You're car appears configured similar to mine with 7MA, DCT, MDrive, non-extended (sweet two tone, to change it up from your previous fox), PDC, and premium audio. Although I'm going to guess that you have the Executive package rather than the Premium Audio, and PDC separately as I do.

Hopefully you are having better weather in Toronto than we are here, as we got another 10cm of wet snow yesterday.

Is that before or after they drop a sheet of glass on the car?

If your CA is offering you that price, have them print up the paper work and sign it. If BMW Canada invoices them at a higher price, it will be the dealer who has to pick up the difference. Just make sure the order they enter includes the term "Competition Package" and you will be good to go.

Even though '7MA' is the order code, BMW Canada in the letter they sent to me, and the delivery document listed my build as "Competition Package".

Have fun, and smile your way to a great deal.

As Duncan had mentioned in another thread, the reason some people were getting the $5185 whole sale pricing is that there wasn't (maybe there is now) a MSRP for the 7MA, so dealers were either making up their own mark up (~9% like all other options), or in my case adding the option to my order at the whole sale price ($5185).

Get that in writing, and order! Pretty sure you signed your order in quite recently, so hopefully they'll stick to their favourable pricing!

Holy Geeez. Isn't it April next week? +10C here, and the winters are coming off on Friday!

Yeah I was suprised on the trim but as my F150 & wifes 335is has the same trim,I guess I am OK with it and at least it is easy to clean!Whether the ZOK or the Tu-Tone generated this is unknown at this point, and I am not going to worry about it as it is OK.It will be a nice change from the previous M.
