Let us know what time on May 9th the race is. I am always looking for a reason to go for a drive, and a trip to Cayuga sounds like fun.

I actually saw my first 'live' IS-F in downtown Oakville yesterday parked on main street. It had tints and looked pretty mean, but the exhaust does look a little off. I parked a few cars behind it and I couldn't help going to check it out and comparing it to the M3.

My take is that it is not a bad looking sedan, but I'd take the M3 first, or even a C63 if I was looking for a 4 door. I guess there is no

for the Toyota, even BMW managed to steal 2nd from them at the Malaysia GP.

I wish I could come and see this but Saturdays are never good for me. Please take lots of video tape, even in car cameras if you can.

I respect both cars but I am leaning more towards the M3.

Ya, my wife wanted a new car, so I thought I would get her a nice, pretty and slow M3.

She then told me she did not want that slow boring car. So am looking for some better options.

They are actually talking about drag racing at a race track - not on the streets. Cayuga speedway.

Yep, I see that, but it sounds like there is also some kind of straight line test, and it also sounded like that might take place on the street? Sorry if I misread that and the straight line test will be done on a drag strip. Someone reported this thread and expressed concern over this. I don't mean to spoil the track/drag strip discussion at all...

Knowing Gearhead999s - there wont be any racing on the streets. I believe the format was to be a 2 day thing. First was a drag race at the drag strip at cayuga, followed by a track day. Both are experienced at the track. I know a group of us plan on going out to the track to watch.

But your point is well taken Lucid - No street racing (let alone discussions!)

Yep, based on his posts in the track section, he sure sounds like he's been around and cares a great deal about safety. A valued forum member. I just needed to act on the report. Again, sorry that I misread the sitaution and have fun!
