Wasn't the previous GT-r around 3.2 with Launch Control? Without it was around 3.8 or 9?

Im guessing the new one should be around 3.6 or 7 without. Now if only they wouldn't void your warranty... A buddy of mine has an 2010 GTR and the launch control is a tease button since you cant use it.

The LC has been changed (ie toned down) and warranties aren't voided.

The only thing that's annoying is that the car now exceeds 100k for 2012. It use to be a bargain at 80k, now it's just well...nothing really.
Actually, US MSRP is just shy of $90k unless you get the black edition which is approximately $95k. Still not cheap, but you get a lot of car for the money.

There are plenty of cars that cost under 15k that will spank my car all day long.

And yet, it's a Nissan.

Since it is pretty well accpeted that the initial model year of the car was substantially under rated and probably had about 530 hp to begin. The same amount of under rating puts the new car was up at a whopping 580 hp. I suspect it is not actually that much but probably over 550 hp. 2.X seconds 0-62 mph times on a nice warm road surface. Their AWD, traction control and LC systems are all really impressive. Absolutely no drama doing a 3.0 s 0-62.

If you think that all of us bought the M3 to be the fastest car out there you are silly. I know lots of cars will spank my M3 for less but none of them offer a more complete package than the M3....... very few cars in the world offer a more complete package than the M3 for any price.

BUT 3.0 TO 100KMH IS PLAIN CRAZY!!!!

What's wrong with a Nissan? Only BMW could make better cars? I sold my M3 for the GT-R. No regret at all.

No offense man....but on the inside it's basically an Altima. It's the same deal with the corvette, fast car but bad craftsmanship. My friend's GTR was in the shop like every other day for problems, and a LOT of electronic problems. I don't know if they have the electronics problems all sorted out now or not. Either way, for the same money I would buy myself a nice M6. Don't care if it's slower.

My GTR is running at 5600 miles atm. Besides 1 time regular service, no other problem at all, your friend's GTR is 2009? If yes, that's why.

To each their own.

My M3 was in for service 5 times before they fixed a CEL issue.

GTR has been flawless from day one.

The first version of everything will always have some problems. That's pretty normal.

I got bored of my m3 had a 2009 and 2010. Sure its a great car for its price range. It does everything well. But theres nothing it does with super car performance. It wasnt intended to.

With that being said. I love my GT-R. Its insanely fucking fast. The attitude some of you have on the M3 forum is often a let down and one sided. Some of you provide that cock attitude notorious with BMW owners. Of all the forums I enjoy the most, it is bimmerpost. Some of you really need to get out of thinking the M3 is the best car ever made.

If I had to have only one car, I would probably have my M3. If you can afford it, have 5 cars like me and sell your M3 lol.

Price versus the increased "ability" of each respective car.. don't know on a relative scale if its far to be comparing with a M3!

The m3 is a good car but go drive a GT-R and tell me it is not better as the m3. Also you can throw a few grand into it with a ams fmic, tune, dp's and have a massively powerful car that can run with anything on the road or track. Or you could spend 22k for AMS Alpha 9 package and give a veyron a good run for its money and beat it until 160.

My GT-R has HKS intake, Cobb AP custom tuned by AMS, and AAM competition mid-pipe. It is just raw power.

Lol, why is it people see "Nissan" a word of shame or something? It's a name that actually puts other cars to shame x5 times the price! LOL everyone who ever paid a lot of money on P cars thinking they have the best performance and all that, get what? Ass kicked on a track! And with a few mods it could murder them on straights as well!

The only reason I love the M and like it better is because of comfort IMO; seats, some luxury and decent size with a masterpiece for an engine! But to say that the GTR is " a Nissan " Loooool get over yourselves people. This nissan killed everything, except the GT2 Rs which was actually made for revenge And compare the prices; the GTR is one of the best vehicles out there. If I were to change my car, the GTR would be my choice no doubt!

I respect, love and adore that car. To say it's "just a Nissan" is so ignorant and childish and very freaking stupid.

If it were only equipped with better seats....oh well. To each his own....///M for me
